Members of Spiritual Care Australia come from a wide variety of beliefs and cultural backgrounds. They work in hospitals, aged care, the emergency services, the defence forces, prisons, schools, universities, workplaces and in the community. About the role Help shape the provision of spiritual and pastoral care of residents, families and staff at Calvary, ensuring their diverse spiritual needs are identified and responded to with exceptional sensitivity, compassion, knowledge and skill. The Pastoral Care Practitioner participates as a member of the care team in the delivery of services to residents and their family members, and is responsible for ensuring that the diverse pastoral and spiritual needs of residents, their families and staff are identified and responded to. The position of Pastoral Care Practitioner is part of an integrated team of people working within an established and agreed framework supporting the resident to live their best life. As the Pastoral Care Practitioner some of your main duties will include: Providing spiritual care support to residents according to triage priorities As required, providing spiritual care support to residents' family members and to staff Establishing and maintaining collaborative relationships with key stakeholders While we are seeking an experienced practitioner, early career practitioners or those wishing to start their career in pastoral care are also encouraged to apply for a supervised role.  Support to complete clinical pastoral care training is available for those applying as a supervised practitioner.  Shorting listing and interviews may commence during the advertising period, please apply early. Chaplaincy Coordinator

The Civil Chaplaincies Advisory Committee (CCAC), in partnership with Corrective Services NSW and through a Religious Member Organisation as the employing body, is seeking a Chaplaincy Coordinator to oversee the delivery of spiritual and pastoral care to inmates and staff across Correctional Centres in New South Wales. Key Responsibilities: • Lead and support the ongoing development of Corrective Services Chaplains and the Chaplaincy service—a multifaith body comprising approximately 90 chaplains serving institutions across NSW. • Liaise with and report to the CCAC, Corrective Services NSW, and the multifaith Religious Member Organisations represented on the CCAC. • Ensure high-quality spiritual and pastoral services are delivered in alignment with the values and expectations of the CCAC and Corrective Services NSW. Requirements: • You must be an accredited religious practitioner of a Religious Member Organisation affiliated with the CCAC. • The Religious Member Organisation will act as the official employing body and will negotiate salary and employment conditions based on the subsidy provided by Corrective Services NSW. • You must be an Australian citizen or Permanent Resident.
