As the peak Australian body for Spiritual Care, Spiritual Care Australia (SCA) recognises the importance of having professional, skilled, and experienced practitioners whose capabilities and competence are assessed and credentialed according to a capabilities framework.

Members of Spiritual Care Australia come from a wide variety of beliefs and cultural backgrounds. They work in hospitals, aged care, the emergency services, the defence forces, prisons, schools, universities, workplaces and in the community. Common roles include Spiritual Care, Pastoral Care & Chaplaincy.
